Fire

I don't know if it's only me but when there's word of a fire in town my heart beats a little faster and I pray that they take it out as soon as possible. Ever since the tragic Cedar Fires of 2003, I think every San Diegan has that same mentality. Thankfully, today's fire near Rancho Penasquitos and Mira Mesa homes were put out before it could do any damage to homes.

I'll never forget the Cedar Fire. That was freaky. Surfed in apocalyptic conditions and think I coughed for about a year afterwards....

I'm sure that it was a little too close to home (no pun intended) for those in Scripps Ranch. Scary indeed. Mother Nature can be dangerous.
